    Description

This is a lot of two old advertising shot glasses:
"Herkules Gyogyital - Gyomorkeseru a Legjobb" is painted on the front of each in orange, white, tan and black.
This is a brand of bitter, considered a tonic and aid to digestion. It was made in Budapest, Hungary and distributed in Brooklyn, NY by Joseph C. Street and Edward Caverly beginning in 1874. They marked this product to Hungarian and Polish immigrants, printing their items in both Hungarian (like these glasses) and Polish.
They are slightly different from each other - one is slightly thicker, bases differ slightly. Measure approx. 3 5/8" high, 1 1/4" across foot and1 a little over 1 1/4" across top. Each one has an etched measuring mark at the top with "d" for "dram." Bases are thick solid glass halfway up their length. Pre-prohibition.
No damage, have minor aging, handling, factory flaws and irregularities - see photos.
