Description
Please let me introduce myself. My name is Vlad and I run a company Apple Pie Tech LLC. I've been working as a computer technician for the computer repair company from 2006. I started fixing Apple Products since the introduction of the first iPhone in 2007 and started doing micro soldering in 2010.From 2010 I've been running my own business from home mainly buying broken MacBooks, fixing them and selling them for a profit. I've had a good 10 years of experience in figuring out all kinds of problems with broken MacBooks from all kind of damages, mainly liquid.
I decided to move my business from home to the office space, expand my business and offer my services of fixing broken MacBooks to You! I've had enough experience successfully running my business that You can be assured that I will not learn how to microsolder on the logic board of Your MacBook. I also work with several local computer repair shops from Sarasota and surrounding areas fixing MacBook LogicBoards for them.
This Repair service includes Native Brightness Control
Little info about the service advertised in this listing:
All Early and Late MacBook Pros 15" (A1286) and 17" (A1297) suffer from failing AMD Radeon Graphic Chips due to poor cooling on those models. Failed chips render those otherwise great machines unusable. Symptoms include but not limited to: Black Screen, White Screen hanging on Boot, Rebooting in a loop, Pink/Green/Blue lines on the screen etc.
Apple had a quality program for these machines for 4 years since the original purchase date which is long expired. Most if not all repaired machines failed again.
What I am offering in this listing is the PROPER repair for these models which consists of 2 things:
1. Programming GMUX chip that controls switching between integrated intel HD 3000 Graphic Chip and faulty AMD Chip to Permanently disable AMD Chip on the logic board and use Intel HD 3000 at all times
2. Running a wire from PCH to GMUX to enable NATIVE BRIGHTNESS CONTROL
Here is my video of this repair: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ri_8th2ox20
The only downside to this repair is INABILITY TO USE EXTERNAL MONITOR EVER AGAIN!
The up sides are many:
This repair will outlive Your laptop.
Your laptop will not fail again because of the bad graphic chip
This repair is permanent, You can do fresh OS X install, Reset PRAM, SMC etc.
You can install unsupported Mac OS X via special patcher and prolong the life of Your laptop (it's important for some people who are in love with their 17" models), You can't do that with enabled AMD chip on the board.
Other options are available on eBay, however think TWICE before using those options. And here is WHY:
1. Some services offer reballing of the AMD GPU. This is temporary solution and Your laptop is guaranteed to fail again because the issue lyes in the Graphic Chip itself, not the solder balls between the Chip and the logic board. That kind of repair will last You 1 year if You are lucky, 1 week if You are not. Save Your money and time.
2. Replacing of the AMD GPU Chip. Revised AMD chips are out there, but if You are sending Your laptop to Joe from the corner computer repair shop I can assure You that he has no access to those revised AMD chips, You will just get another faulty chip slapped on Your logic board that will fail again. Repair shop needs proper connections in China to even source revised AMD chips for these boards and only a handful of techs out there have them.
All Repairs come with 90 Days Warranty!
Please ship your logicboard or laptop (do not include charger) well packed to
