  • Condition: Preowned but lightly used by amateur artist in home studio. Mint condition. Although possibly up to 20 years old, there are no dents, cuts, scratches, chips or scuffs that I can find. In fact, the only mark I can find is a tiny nick in the label of the measuring stop. Working exactly as it should. Will likely need standard adjustments upon arrival. Is appropriately lubricated and perfectly clean. It comes with its original shipping container and packing materials. The accessories and supplies are in their original boxes as well. I don't have the original instruction manual but downloaded a copy for a newer C+H model.

    Description

    Up for sale is a C+H Framing Products Model M40 mat cutting instrument. It is a heavily built tool of excellent quality and precision, designed to cut straight and bevel cuts in various thicknesses of mat board and backing board. The cutter head rides in bronze bushings on a precision ground 5/8" steel rod (rail) and along either side of a hard-coated aluminum extruded bar. Both the rod and bar have an intentional bow to apply even pressure over the mat. Overall, it measures 47 inches wide and 15 inches deep and requires 15" working space above the table and weighs 40# without any attachments. It belonged to a friend of mine who no longer needs it. The eBay calculation of shipping cost is accurate and will be within of my cost, and there will be a handling fee which covers the cost of full value insurance and signature at delivery.
