Description
I am the second owner of this extremely rare hand-carved Los Abuelos sign. Guillermo E. Sauza had two of these signs commissioned by a local artisan from Jalisco (see picture) who has since passed away. The only other sign in existence is displayed at the Fortaleza museum in the town square in Tequila, Jalisco. The second sign was gifted by Guillermo to Mark Cannon, the graphic artist and tequila historian who designed the Los Abuelos and Fortaleza logo and bottle art. I purchased the sign from Mark in April, 2016. While I have enjoyed displaying the sign over the years, it is now time to find a new home for this one-of-a-kind collectable. The sign is two-sided and weighs 20 pounds. It is 32" wide and 24" tall, with the tahona extension adding another 14" to its height.
This is the ultimate collectable for tequila aficionados.
