Malaysia and Indo-China Tour Guide with Maps (1926)

Description

This is a First Edition of Thos. Cook & Son Ltd. travel guide and is a very rare book. I obtainesd several early travel guides from same estate and have some of these listed in store. I once found a Second Edition offered on AbeBooks for 0, however, I believe that my example is in nicer condition while being a first edition and possessing the loose supplemetal map shown in photos and the 2 carved and painted bookmarks. I suspect these are made of bone, ivory, or celluloid but really cannot call it. These are definitely from the same period and likely from the same trip as a buddy of mine found the bookmarks inside of a vintage book purchased at the same sale. It took some real horse trading to be able to unite these bookmarks with their book. I really suspect that this example could do very well at a major auction, so I want quite a bit for this. Starting bid may seem a bit ridiculous to some, but they are welcome to find another copy and bookmarks to enter competition....I do not think this can be found elsewhere. The cover is separated from text block as there has been failure of glue used, and there is a small puncture through wrap which does not affect pages. The tipped in map appears problem-free. Simply a great book and my favorite from my collection.  Bookmarks included.
