    KY Rotary bits are designed so each side works independently.  This allows the rider to lift a shoulder and is especially helpful with bending and balancing.    According to the manufacturer, "The unique swivel center joint allows one side of the bit to move completely independent of the other with no pinching, binding or false pressure.  The two sides of the bit are completely uniform in the horse's mouth".
    This bit is new with the cardboard hanger attached.   It does have a few marks from being displayed and hung next to other bits and the cardboard has some marks, but nothing that should effect its performance in any way.   On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being new, mint condition, I would give this bit a 9+++.  A harder to find bit!
