    The Velcro Seatbelt Alarm is a wandering patient system designed for use by individuals with Alzheimer's disease or cognitive disabilities. This restraint-free seatbelt alarm notifies caregivers when an individual tries to get out of a wheelchair unattended. The seatbelt has a Velcro closure and a self-release pull strap, and mounts directly to the wheelchair frame. When the Velcro on the belt is disconnected, the alarm sounds, notifying the staff that the patient is trying to exit the chair. POWER: Uses one 9-volt battery
