    Description

    Pony, Arab, or Small Mouthed Horse, this is a 4 1/2 inch English Bridle Pelham Bit. The shanks are short, being 2 inches from the base of the mouthpiece to the end of the shank.
    The bit has converter straps, enabling the use of only one rein.  If the horse's head goes low, the bit exerts the least pressure. If he lifts his head too high, the pressure increases. Since the shanks are short, the bit is mild at any point.
    The bit is used, but good. The straps show use, but are still supple and solid.
