The pattern is transfer print scenes in red on a creamy white background with oak leaves and acorns around the rim. The plate has a scene of a water wheel grist mill and a man on horseback.
The pie plate measures almost 10" diameter.
In very good gently used condition without chips or cracks. A bit of staining found along the rim and a couple of manufacturing marks on reverse. Back is unmarked but it is the Memory Lane Pattern.
Price is per 1 with several available in most pieces in the collection...check our other listings for more pieces as we combine shipping on any of our items that ship together!
Purchased a large lot of this china at a local country house estate sale...no dishwasher in their kitchen so these were all probably gently hand washed over their life. Most pieces are in excellent condition...any flaws will be pointed out in the listing. See photos as I included individual photos of as many as possible. The last photo shows the entire table full of items we purchased.
Royal China introduced this Pattern in 1964 using some of the Decals from the Currier and Ives and other lines they had produced up until that point.
Like most other Royal China products this pattern was sold direct to a few limited retail outlets, but mostly it was sold to Grocery and Discount Chains to be given away or sold as premiums. The Memory Lane Pattern was very short lived and abruptly discontinued after just a few short years when the company was purchased by Jeannette in late 1969.
Memory Lane is still very much sought out although it is more of a challenge to find quality pieces because of the limited production run.
