    Description

    Sterling silver rectangular name plate with decorative rope border and, within a surround of hand engraved scroll and hatch-work, "Dotty Socks" and a tiny flower on either side of the name in applied gold filled face pieces.  There are four brass receivers (now partially filled with rust?) on the back of the plate for mounting with threaded? studs onto leather.  The name plate weighs 1.7 troy ounces and measures 7 inches across and 1 inch high.  Marked on the back "Sunset Trails" and "Sterling" with another mark of interlocked letters "C, M, s".  There are several small dark spots and some corrosion etching on the gold face of the letters, otherwise in good vintage condition.
