    Vintage Philippines Five Centavos 1944 Art Craft Hanging Coin Holder.
    This is a coin art piece in part created with US Philippine Five Centavos coins that each seem to be dated 1944. This piece is about 9”in length and from a sort of chain is a small circular compartment that has a hinged lid and snaps shut. It is quite loose. The chain is made of three coins and scrolled metal. I’m not sure what this was used for however I can guess that it was a coin holder. Maybe even an ashtray. It seems like there was a metal wash or coating applied at one point. The coins are very worn. I have thought that perhaps it is a piece of trench art.
